who is committed to excellence, has strong subject knowledge in Geography, and enjoys leading a team of talented teachers.Head of Humanities Responsibilities

Lead, inspire, and manage the Humanities department as the

Head of Humanities .Develop and implement high-quality schemes of work and lesson plans across Humanities subjects.Monitor and support teaching standards to ensure outstanding learning outcomes.Support professional development and mentoring of staff within the department.Analyse student performance data and set clear targets to drive improvement.Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.Collaborate with school leadership to ensure the strategic development of Humanities.Promote student engagement through innovative teaching and enrichment opportunities.Head of Humanities Requirements

Strong knowledge and expertise in Geography, with a passion for Humanities education.Experience in leading a department and managing a team of teachers.Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.Commitment to safeguarding, child protection, and creating a safe learning environment.Ability to motivate and inspire both staff and students.Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
