Engineering and Maintenance Manager

Job DescriptionEngineering Lead - London - to £65k plus packageExciting opportunity to join a leading facilities management service provider supporting one of their fastest growing clients in the global tech industry. Located in the heart of the City of London, the successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to work in one of the most technically advanced facilities in London.As a multi-skilled mechanical technician, the role involves supervising technical staff and managing the day-to-day maintenance and operation of plant or a multi-skilled engineering team in accordance with the client’s global reliability programme.Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Coordinate with the site Hard Services Manager to ensure compliance with local legislation.Ensure planned maintenance activities are performed according to set tasks, Site SOPs, processes, and procedures.Maintain plant and utilities to ensure proper operation, reliability, and compliance with operational, regulatory, and statutory practices, including record-keeping.Identify, plan, and schedule PPM activities; produce purchase orders, work order numbers, and requisitions.Familiarity with CMMS systems for issuing small works and managing PPM requirements.Attend testing and commissioning as a competent person, providing feedback on findings and observations.Carry out works safely, following safety instructions, permits, risk assessments, and method statements.Maintain operational records, PPM schedules, reactive and emergency maintenance systems, and engineering manuals.Provide technical support for projects, including commissioning and handovers.Collaborate with principal contractors to identify training needs.Proactively manage preventative/reactive maintenance and out-of-scope works.Adhere to the maintenance management system, meeting and exceeding service level agreements.Undertake small installation repairs to mechanical and electrical plant and equipment.Develop and maintain SOPs and EOPs.Support the engineering team, working flexible shifts and being on call if required.Health and Safety

Minimum 5 years experience in a multi-skilled building services maintenance environment.Strong client relationship management skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Drive applications.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.Initiative, confidence, and professionalism.Ownership mindset and growth-oriented attitude.Core Competencies

Trade qualifications in electrical or mechanical HVAC or plumbing.CandG Level 6 or equivalent qualifications.Additional certifications such as CandG 2079, 2391, or IoT/Smart building technologies are desirable.Additional Information
Wiring Regulations (BS7671-2018) and IOSH qualification are preferred. Flexibility to work shifts and out-of-hours on-call duties is expected.
