About the Role:
We are looking for a passionate and innovative Computer Science Teacher to join a vibrant, forward-thinking secondary school in St Albans. If youandrsquo;re excited about teaching the next generation of tech leaders and shaping the future of young minds, this is the role for you!
Youandrsquo;ll be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons to Key Stage 3, 4, and 5 students, inspiring them to pursue their interests in technology and coding, while developing their critical thinking skills. Youandrsquo;ll be part of a dynamic team thatandrsquo;s committed to excellence and student achievement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lesson Planning andamp; Delivery: Develop and deliver engaging, creative lessons across Key Stage 3, 4, and 5 in line with the curriculum.
- Curriculum Design: Help shape a challenging and forward-thinking Computer Science curriculum.
- Student Engagement: Motivate students through interactive lessons and extracurricular activities focused on technology.
- Assessment: Track student progress, provide constructive feedback, and work with colleagues to enhance learning outcomes.
- Continuous Development: Stay up to date with the latest trends in technology and Computer Science education to ensure the curriculum is relevant and effective.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Computer Science, ICT, or a related field.
- Experience: Experience teaching Computer Science at Key Stage 4 and 5 (NQTs are welcome to apply).
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of Computer Science concepts including programming, algorithms, and databases.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire students.
- Passion: A genuine enthusiasm for technology and teaching students about the digital world.
- Team Player: Collaborative approach to working within the department and across the school.
