Principal Systems EngineerThe Role:As a Principal Systems Engineer at Synoptix you will be helping guide the scope and direction of the engineering projects you are working on. As an agile business in the true sense the principal engineer will be given the relative freedom to take ownership at the strategic level of the project. This involves talking to the external stakeholders at a high level within the customer organisation and feeding back to the business within engineering management meetings etc.Internally to Synoptix you are seen as a technical authority and mentor to the early career engineers within Synoptix and have the ability to shape their future by passing on knowledge and experience as well as guiding them on customer project delivery.This role would be particularly suited towards someone with skills and experience in Requirements, VandV, Trials and Acceptance.Day to day tasking can include: Delivering technical consultant expertise on a variety of customer projects from air to sub-surfaceSupporting trials at customer locations alongside Synoptix colleaguesWorking with multidisciplinary teams across the programmesDevelopment of proposals and statements of workEngaging with customer representatives to identify opportunities, and seeing them through to deliveryAttending Synoptix internal management strategy meetingsGuiding junior engineers in project delivery, where needed There is also the ability to be part of social activities and helping in other areas of the
