Job Overview: Under the supervision of the technical Manager, the CAD technician is responsible for a variety of design/drafting activities including: Preparing and updating drawings and BOM s (Bills of Materials) for production. Preparing detailed drawings to the company standard for all the relevant departments within suppliers that require drawings. Ensure the company s COP, Type Approvals and QMS processes are followed. Benefits Package: • £30,000 annual salary • Don t work Fridays - 4 day week • Early finish Thursdays • Overtime available As a CAD Technician, you will be required to: • Carry out drawing and BOM amends in line with QMS • Ensure work in progress parts are latest revision prior to nesting. • Create programs for the CNC machine. • Ensure CNC programs are correct for approval. • Ensure a culture of prevention of defects is in place. • Ensure issue of correct drawings to other departments/suppliers. • Modify drawings and report changes. • Produce detailed Drawings for fitting and Design teams. • Investigate any drawing/BOM discrepancies before implementing any changes. • Maintain specified work records in both Emax and Solidworks PDM. • Recognise and communicate improvements through continuous monitoring • Problem solve in your area. • Must co-operate with management in all are
