As a Senior Support Worker, you will work as part of the care team, recognising and facilitating residents’ daily needs, conducting supervisions and appraisals, and contributing to care planning and coaching support workers. The role focuses on maintaining residents’ personal care needs, respecting their dignity, and promoting independence.Kingsley Specialist Services
provides support for people with learning disabilities and complex needs, including those who benefit from a more peaceful living environment.We deliver the positive behaviour support (PBS) model of care, which emphasizes person-centred care, promoting choice and independence, participation, and inclusion. This approach empowers individuals to live meaningful, happy lives in adaptable environments.We aim to understand residents’ communication and respond proactively to meet their needs, offering alternative behaviours to reduce distress or concerning behaviours. You will role-model this approach and support staff in applying PBS in all support activities.Reports to:
Home Manager/Deputy Manager/NurseSkills and attributes
Previous experience in a senior care role.Strong communication and leadership skills.Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload.Ability to work effectively as part of a team.Empathetic and caring nature.Full UK Driving Licence is preferred but not essential.Education and qualification
NVQ3 in Health and Social Care or working towards it.What will you gain?
