OverviewPrincipal Consultant - Technology, Product and Data | Private Equity Value Creation role with Siena Partnership. The Siena Partnership is partnered with a B2B SaaS business backed by mid-market Private Equity seeking a Director of Data with potential for C-Level progression over the next 2 years.

They are a buy-and-build that have recently made two acquisitions and are looking for a hands-on, yet strategic data leader to own an infrastructure refresh before adoption of an innovative new AI product launch. As a founder-led business and without a previous Director of Data, this is a greenfield opportunity to be referenced as the key enabler to further growth before a planned exit. This role will lead the build-out of data infrastructure from the ground up in a high-value, low-volume data environment, and play a critical role in managing complex post-acquisition data integration initiatives.

Responsibilities

Lead the build-out of data infrastructure from the ground up in a high-value, low-volume data environment.

Manage complex post-acquisition data integration initiatives.

Own an infrastructure refresh ahead of adoption of an innovative AI product launch.

Partner with C-Suite to set data strategy and governance.

Provide hands-on technical leadership across architecture, engineering, and warehousing to ensure high-quality data.

Qualifications / Selection of relevant experience

Hands-on data leader with gravitas to operate alongside the C-Suite

Experience setting up data infrastructures from scratch (preferred)

Good understanding of enabling good quality data through architecture, engineering and warehousing methods

Experience in smaller, fast-paced and agile environments

Excellent communicator able to influence and lead the broader data strategy

Acquisition integration (nice to have)

SaaS environments (nice to have)

Venture Capital or Private Equity (nice to have)
