Start Date: Monday 20th April 2026
Contract Type: Full-time, Long Term
Pay rate: -1,000 - -1,450 per week (dependent on experience and responsibilities)
Working hours: 8:30am - 4:00pm
About the Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable General Cover Teacher to join our multi-academy trust in Oldham. You will deliver engaging, well-structured lessons across a range of subjects, ensuring continuity of learning and supporting student progress during staff absences.
You will be part of a supportive, collaborative team committed to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. Whether you are an experienced teacher or an ECT, if you bring flexibility, resilience, and a positive attitude, we''d love to hear from you.
What We''re Looking For:
- Someone passionate about teaching and supporting students on the autism spectrum
- Strong communication skills, and the ability to quickly build rapport with students and colleagues
- Flexible and resilient, with the ability to adapt to the varied needs of the students
- Have a commitment to learning and development, and a willingness to explore and implement autism-inclusive teaching strategies
- Demonstrate a holistic approach to student development, focusing not only on academic success but also emotional and social growth
To be eligible you must:
- Hold a recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, BEd)
- Be eligible to work in the UK
- Be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check (if not already registered with the online update service)
- Provide two professional or academic references
