Community Development Co-ordinator - Fixed Term Job description 37 hours per week Fixed term until 31 March 2026 We are seeking an energetic and creative individual who can bring local communities and organisations together and to support Bridgend to become an Age Friendly Community. The World Health Organisation describes Age Friendly Communities as being places in which older people, communities, policies, services, settings and structures work together in partnership to support and enable us all to age well. The role will help co-ordinate and engage with a range of networks and partnerships across eight areas of focus that contribute to Age Friendly Communities. These include outdoor spaces and buildings, transport, housing, social participation, respect and social inclusion, civic participation and employment, communication and information and community support and health services. The role is supported by Welsh Government as part of a National commitment to developing Age Friendly Communities. The post holder will be involved in raising awareness of the programme and engaging key partners and stakeholders in identifying the current position and the development of action plans.
