We are working with a privately-owned Building Services consultancy who have been operating for over 25 years and are looking for an ambitious Intermediate level Mechanical Design Engineer with aspirations to progress long term to work within a growing team in Newcastle. An exciting prospect to join an established business with a clear strategy in place for sustainable and profitable growth.

Your workload with be interesting and varied offering different challenges and rewards with involvement in sectors including Custodial, Healthcare, Education, Residential, Commercial and many more.-

You will be working on full project lifecycle projects up to stage 5, you will be involved in designing and developing mechanical systems for projects, with a focus on detailed design, analysis, coordination with guidance from Senior Engineers. They ensure staff at all levels gain full exposure to each project, making their Engineers well rounded from an early stage in their career.

As the region continues to grow, the path for progression is very clear and structured allowing you to develop as far as you want without limitations.

Core responsibilities;

• Design mechanical systems for buildings, including:

Heating systems (LTHW, boilers, heat pumps)

Ventilation systems (AHUs, MVHR, extract)

Air conditioning (VRF/VRV, chillers, fan coils)

• Perform engineering calculations:

Heating & cooling load calculations

Airflow requirements

Pipe and duct sizing

Pressure drops and pump/fan selection

• Develop system schematics and layouts
