Abatec is assisting their client, a leading regional civil engineering contractor with the recruitment of an experienced, permanent Site Engineer to support the delivery of civil engineering works across a major water and wastewater infrastructure in the South West. Our client has secured long-term and stable work on the 5-year AMP 8 capital delivery and minor works frameworks, supporting delivery of civil engineering works that maintain, refurbish, refresh and construct new water and wastewater assets. As Site Engineer you will: Set out, manage, and oversee construction activities on site Ensure works are delivered safely, to specification, and to programme Manage subcontractors, QA records, and technical documentation Work closely with Project Managers, design teams, and commercial teams Support buildability reviews and technical problem-solving on complex structures and civils works Promote and uphold high standards of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance. Our client requires a Site Engineer with: Background in water-biased civils, infrastructure, structures, or heavy civil engineering projects Experience delivering RC structures, pipelines, deep excavations, or large infrastructure works Strong setting out, technical, and site delivery skills Experience and understanding of AutoCAD Full UK driving License Salary and benefits include: 40,000 - 50,000 p/a Company vehicle / allowance 25 days paid holidays per annum + additional attractive benefits If y
