Construction Health and Safety Manager required to join a well-established construction consultancy. You will represent the client and support the team in overseeing the implementation of Health and Safety management across a major design and build construction site in Bedfordshire.-
Construction Health and Safety Manager duties include:
- Ensuring client compliance with statutory Health and Safety requirements.
- Strengthening construction safety practices through active on-site involvement.
- Supporting the development of project-specific safety programmes as needed.
- Identifying and managing high-risk activities across all project stages.
- Establishing clear Health and Safety reporting and communication processes.
- Engaging in day-to-day Health and Safety management activities.
- Conducting independent Health and Safety audits on all aspects of construction management.
Qualifications
- You will ideally hold CertIOSH or equivalent and be supported to gain CMIOSH status.
- Progressing with further safety qualifications, with Diploma level already attained.
Experience
- Demonstrable experience providing client-side health and safety services within the construction or property industry preferred.
- Experience working under the CDM Regulations, carrying out roles such as CDM Advisor.
- Working knowledge of large scale/complex projects.-
This Construction Health and Safety Manager role is based on-site in Bedfordshire. The salary is up to -65,000 depending on experience, plus a full benefits package including car allowance, healthcare, pension and a generous holiday allowance with the option to purchase up to five additional days.
