The post will be based at Guy''s and St Thomas'' NHS Foundation Trust. It is a requirement to be prepared to work at any additional or different location owned or served by the Trust, on an ongoing or temporary basis according to service demands.This is an excellent opportunity to join a first class team within a larger group of diagnostic radiologists with wide-ranging expertise. The post holder will support established diagnostic radiology services and take an active role in service development, teaching programs, and research and development.Responsibilities
Full-time Consultant Diagnostic Radiologist (10 Programmed Activities per week: 8 DCC / 2 SPA) with an interest in Breast Imaging.Provide breast radiology sessions for the busy symptomatic breast service and support Breast multidisciplinary meetings (MDM).Deliver sessions of CT, MRI and plain film reporting and support oncology and acute services.Participate in the adult diagnostic radiology on-call rota.Contribute to teaching and service improvement within the Radiology Department.Support the dedicated symptomatic breast radiology unit, including VAMs, breast MRI, biopsy and contrast-enhanced mammography.About us

Your job plan is anticipated to contain 10 Programmed Activities per week on average to be carried out on Guys and St Thomas sites and includes on-call commitments. A flexible working pattern may be adopted with agreement from the Clinical Director and Clinical Lead. A remote Home Reporting solution has been deployed to many radiologists across subspecialties, with continued rollout as needed. A detailed job plan, including personal and professional objectives, will be discussed and agreed with the Clinical Director within 3 months of starting.Note:

Professional Qualifications (Essential)
Eligible for full UK GMC registration and a Licence to PractiseOn GMC Specialist Register or within six months of attaining CCTFRCR or equivalentClinical Experience and Skills (Essential)
Completion of specialist radiology training programmeSubspecialty training in Breast RadiologyIndependent performance and reporting of all general diagnostic imaging, including acute and oncology CT scansIndependent performance of guided biopsy/FNA of breast lesions and ultrasound and mammography reportingDesirable
Experience in participating and leading multidisciplinary meetingsExperience of independent breast MRI, contrast-enhanced mammography reporting and VAMsExperience of independent breast MDM workAudit Management and IT (Essential)
