We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to take on the role of Head of Submarine Rescue Operations (HOSR). This is a critical leadership position responsible for the safe delivery of global submarine rescue operations. You will ensure the readiness of qualified personnel, oversee operational doctrine, and manage training assurance across a global team.Key Responsibilities

Lead a global, multi-disciplinary team to deliver JFD’s Submarine Rescue Operations strategyOversee operational training assurance, doctrine, and safety case deliveryManage the Global Longcast and allocate resources to meet contract and project needsChair the Training and Competency Review Board and Operational Working GroupProvide specialist input to new build projects and service contractsEnsure compliance with safety standards and participate in safety reviews (DARs/DACs/SRMs)Represent JFD in senior stakeholder engagements and client interactionsQualifications and Experience

Proven leadership of large, multi-disciplinary teams (ideally 40+ people)Experience in operations at sea, preferably with underwater/diving/submarine backgroundStrong safety assurance expertiseComfortable with international travel and flexible working patternsExperience in defence/offshore/marine sectorsBudget and operational planning capabilitiesDesirable

commercial subsea experienceFamiliarity with hyperbaric systems and marine/defence standardsExperience with training frameworks and certification processesDue to the requirements of this role, all candidates must be able to obtain UK Security Clearance.Note: Due to the volume of applications, applications may close before the deadline; please apply early to avoid disappointment.
