OverviewHead of Supply Chain – United Kingdom role at Quince.

Our StoryQuince was started to challenge the existing idea that nice things should cost a lot. Our mission was simple: create an item of equal or greater quality than the leading luxury brands and sell them at a much lower price.

Our Values

Customer First.

Customer satisfaction is our highest priority.

High Quality.

True quality is a combination of premium materials and high production standards that everyone can feel good about.

Essential design.

We don\''t chase trends, and we don\''t sell everything. We\''re expert curators that find the very best and bring it to you at the lowest prices.

Always a better deal.

Through innovation and real price transparency we want to offer the best deal to both our customers and our factory partners.

Environmentally and Socially conscious.

We\''re committed to sustainable materials and sustainable production methods. That means a cleaner environment and fair wages for factory workers.

The Team and SuccessQuince is a retail and technology company co-founded by a team that has extensive experience in retail, technology and building early stage companies. You\''ll work with a team of world-class talent from Stanford GSB, Google, D.E. Shaw, Stitch Fix, Urban Outfitters, Wayfair, McKinsey, Nike, etc.

The Ideal CandidateWe are seeking a UK-based Head of Supply Chain, Planning, Inventory and Returns to lead our end-to-end supply chain operations across the UK and Europe, while contributing to our global supplier network. You\''ll build and oversee our distribution centre and warehousing footprint in the region, manage inventory planning across multiple markets, and optimise the customer returns journey. This is a critical role for ensuring our supply chain is agile, efficient, and scalable—supporting both direct-to-consumer operations and global growth.

Responsibilities

Lead the setup, implementation, and ongoing operations of UK/EU-based distribution centres (DCs) and warehousing solutions.

Define and execute regional supply chain strategies that align with global business goals, while meeting local regulatory requirements.

Partner cross-functionally with global teams to align forecasts, promotions, and fulfilment planning.

Develop planning models and decision frameworks to minimise stockouts, reduce excess, and improve cash flow.

Oversee purchasing, replenishment cycles, and inbound logistics from global manufacturing partners.

Build and manage mid- to last-mile logistics across the UK and Europe, leveraging both in-house and third-party logistics providers.

Implement a customer-centric returns and reverse logistics process that is efficient and cost-effective.

Track and analyse returns trends to inform product, sizing, and packaging decisions.

Foster strong relationships with manufacturing partners across Asia, the EU, and other key regions.

Support onboarding, compliance, and performance management for global suppliers.

Negotiate favourable commercial terms that balance cost efficiency, ethical standards, and service levels.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor\''s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.

12+ years of experience in supply chain leadership, with demonstrated success managing end-to-end supply chain operations.

Strong experience with global supplier management, with UK and/or EU operational exposure.

Proven track record in establishing and scaling distribution centres (DCs)/warehouses, and optimizing e-commerce fulfilment across multiple markets.

Expertise in demand planning, inventory optimisation, and supply chain cost modelling.

Hands-on experience with third-party logistics (3PL), carrier negotiations, and reverse logistics.

Proficiency with ERP, WMS, and supply chain planning tools (e.g., Anaplan, NetSuite).

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MSc in Supply Chain or Analytics) or professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, APICS, Six Sigma).

Established network and deep knowledge of the European supply chain landscape, including familiarity with regulatory and logistics nuances across EU markets.

Experience with AI and large language model (LLM) strategies applied to supply chain forecasting, automation, or decision-making frameworks.

Exposure to digital supply chain transformation, including leveraging advanced analytics and intelligent automation.

Track record of navigating fast-scaling, high-growth environments, ideally in direct-to-consumer (DTC) or omnichannel commerce.

We rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. Bonus eligibility varies by role and is determined based on the position\''s impact and contribution to our strategic goals.

Pay Range: £140,000—£234,000 GBP
