Assembly Operative with their own transport

Salary: £29,000 per year + opportunity to earn overtime 

Our client is  looking for skilled Assembly Operatives to help build the next generation of ejection seats—used by military aircrews across the globe.

As an Assembly Operative:
You’ll work hands-on in our Fitting Shop, playing a key role in building life-saving equipment. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assembling mechanical components to tight tolerances using kit-based systems

• Reading and working from detailed engineering drawings

• Inspecting and testing components using specialist tools and gauges

• Preparing components for aluminium oxide blasting, bonding, and curing

• Carrying out quality assurance checks at every stage

What the ideal Assembly Operative will bring to the role: 
We’re looking for assemblers with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality. You should have:

• Experience in mechanical assembly and inspection

• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings

• Familiarity with inspection equipment and basic manufacturing processes

• Awareness of health & safety, COSHH, and quality standards (QAI)

• SAP experience (an advantage but not essential)

• A positive, proactive approach and the ability to work well in a team
