OverviewJoin us as a Technology Business Analyst, Traded Market Risk. You will be part of a team that supports NatWest Markets in delivering simple, safe, and secure solutions that enable our people, clients, and businesses to thrive.
Responsibilities
Identify and implement solutions that deliver value to Traded Market Risk (TMR) while ensuring a controlled and stable regulatory environment.
Lead in the definition and realisation of solutions, processes and benefits in the market risk technology space.
Build, manage, and maintain positive working relationships with stakeholders across multiple functions.
Articulate ideas and requirements in formats such as use cases, user journeys, user stories, and illustrations.
Capture, validate, and document business and system requirements aligned with strategic principles and IT minimum standards for market risk.
Interact with market risk business users, downstream consumers, and other stakeholders to document functional and non-functional needs.
Support prioritisation of team work based on feedback from customers, stakeholders, and the team.
Collaborate with stakeholders across market risk, front office, finance, COO, developers, QA, platform owners, production support, regulatory and control functions, credit risk, and downstream consumers to deliver requirements on time and to standard.
Leverage AI to standardise and streamline processes and accelerate business value.
Manage the team''s Agile board and run daily stand-ups with the team.
Skills and Qualifications
Strong understanding of Agile values, principles, and methodologies; experience working in an Agile environment.
Beneficial knowledge of FRTB Advanced Standardised Approach.
Experience in Traded Market Risk business processes, operating models, controls methodologies, and systems.
Knowledge of inputs into market risk models (sensitivities, market data, products).
Experience applying business analysis tools and techniques, advanced Excel skills, and basic SQL for analyzing large data sets.
Excellent communication skills; able to convey complex technical concepts to peers and management in both written and verbal forms.
Experience delivering complex technology projects and business change initiatives.
Investment banking experience.
