Job Title: Consultant Psychiatrist and Medical Director Service and location: Mental Health Acute Service for Men Professionally Accountable to: Regional Medical Director Managerially Responsible to: Hospital Manager We are seeking an experienced full-time Consultant Psychiatrist who will work at Cygnet Hospital Sherwood and provide senior medical cover on our Mental Health Acute Service for Men The post holder will be the Responsible Clinician and will oversee and maintain the care of all ward inpatients as required and will also have responsibility for auditing the medical services rendered at the ward and ensuring their good quality in accordance to GMC standards of good medical practice and other relevant professional guidelines. Apart from being the Responsible Clinician on our 16 bed mental health acute ward for men, you will also be the Medical Director at Cygnet Hospital Sherwood This is a full-time position with 0.2 WTE as Medical Director and 0.8 WTE as Consultant Psychiatrist. Cygnet Hospital Sherwood is our state-of-the-art PICU and Acute hospital for men, in Nottinghamshire. The hospital has a full multi-disciplinary team (MDT) and supports the acute needs of adults requiring rapid access to mental health services, including those who may need an intensive care environment.
