This is a standalone, business-critical position offering real autonomy and the opportunity to become the internal specialist for a core operational system. The Role You will be responsible for the ongoing stability, maintenance and optimisation of a legacy Oracle/Unix-based MRP system (Evolution), supporting both IT and manufacturing teams across two UK sites. Key responsibilities include Maintaining and optimising Oracle database performance (Unix/IBM environment) Ensuring maximum system uptime Troubleshooting system and data issues Supporting month-end and year-end processes Creating and developing tailored reports (Evolution) Performing preventative maintenance and regular system checks Testing upgrades and liaising with third-party vendors Translating technical issues into clear, practical solutions for business users This role would suit someone comfortable working independently, managing their own workload, and acting as the primary point of contact for system-related matters.
