We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing organisation within the construction sector for an experienced Sales Ledger Clerk.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Sales Ledger professional to join a busy finance team. You will play a key role in managing the sales ledger function and supporting the company''s cash flow and financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing the full sales ledger process
• Raising and issuing invoices accurately and promptly
• Monitoring customer accounts and ensuring timely payments
• Proactively chasing outstanding debt and reducing aged debt
• Allocating incoming payments and reconciling accounts
• Investigating and resolving invoice queries
• Producing aged debtor reports and supporting financial reporting
• Liaising with internal departments and external clients
• Supporting month-end processes where required

Requirements

• Previous experience in a Sales Ledger or Accounts Receivable role
• Essential: Experience within the construction industry
• Strong working knowledge of invoicing, reconciliations, and credit control
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships
• Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
• Good IT skills, including Excel and accounting systems
