Yorkshire HousingThis permanent, full-time role supports the delivery of Yorkshire Housing’s sustainability strategy. You’ll work across the business to embed sustainable thinking into everyday decisions and help the organisation lead in sustainability within housing and the community across Yorkshire.What you’ll be doing
Help us reach net zero by supporting decarbonisation projects and improving the energy performance of our homesWork with customers, colleagues and communities to make sustainability accessible and involve othersLead working groups, support funded projects and help shape how we invest in sustainability now and in the futureBuild strong partnerships with local authorities, environmental groups and other organisations across YorkshireKeep us ahead of regulatory changes and ensure we are acting in the best interests of the organisation and the people we serveChampion biodiversity, community cohesion and climate resilience across our housing portfolioYou’ll also help tell our story by sharing progress, celebrating successes and demonstrating how we’re making a difference. Background in sustainability—especially in the housing sectorUnderstanding of decarbonising homes and communitiesConfident communicator who can bring people together and inspire actionAbility to turn data into insight and insight into actionAbility to juggle multiple projects and keep things moving forwardPassion for sustainability with a collaborative mindsetIt’s a bonus if you’ve worked on grant funding, led projects, or have professional memberships like ISEP or CIH. This is a permanent, full-time role, offering a salary of
£37,500
per annum, for a 35-hour week, plus 26 days annual leave (rising to 31 days) plus Bank Holidays.We offer a reward package including health benefits, pension (matched contributions up to 9%), and various employee perks.
