Secondary School - Cover Supervisor
Monday - Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm
Pay: -100130 per day (depending on experience)

We are working with a well-regarded Secondary School in Colchester that is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join its team. This school is committed to creating a positive learning environment where students are encouraged to achieve their full potential both academically and personally.

Job Overview:

  • Full-time, Monday - Friday Cover Supervisor role.
  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects in the absence of the classroom teacher.
  • Maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school''s policies and procedures.
  • Support students with their learning and encourage engagement throughout lessons.
  • Take accurate registers and report any concerns to relevant staff members.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, pastoral teams and senior leaders.
  • Provide feedback on student participation, behaviour and lesson outcomes.
  • Contribute to the wider school community and support students'' wellbeing.

What We''re Looking For:

  • Experience working with children or young people in an educational, coaching, mentoring or support role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confidence managing groups of students and maintaining positive behaviour.
  • A flexible, proactive and professional approach.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people and education.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
