Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant - SEMH School (Primary and Secondary) Location: South East London Contract: Full Time Temp to Perm Start Date: September 2025Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with social, emotional and mental health needs?We are currently seeking dedicated and resilient SEN Teaching Assistants to join a specialist SEMH primary and secondary school in South East London. These full-time roles are to start in September 2025 on a temp-to-perm basis.About the Role:You will play a vital role in supporting students with complex needs and challenging behaviour, both in and out of the classroom. Working closely with teachers, pastoral staff, and external professionals, your role will be to help create a nurturing, structured and safe learning environment that enables every child to thrive.Key Responsibilities:Support students with SEMH and behavioural needs on a one-to-one or small group basisPromote positive behaviour and help implement behaviour management strategiesAssist in delivering tailored learning activitiesContribute to students'' social and emotional developmentWork collaboratively with teaching staff and the wider school teamThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:Experience working with children or young people with challenging behaviourStrong understanding of mental health and trauma-informed approachesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsA calm, patient, and empathetic natureAbility to remain resilient and adapt
