Skilled Metal Worker / OperatorCompetitive + benefits (Permanent)Welwyn Garden CityEither 6am-2pm or 2pm-10pm Monday - Fridaygap technical are proud to be representing this manufacturing business in their search for a Senior Trimmer to work at their facility based near Welwyn Garden CityPerformance ObjectivesPlan and organise work within the trimming area to meet customer demand and maximise throughput.Set up and operate trimming and polishing equipment to achieve the specified surface finish and dimensional requirements.Ensure all inspection activities are carried out in accordance with inspection plans and that all required documentation is accurately completed.Identify and report quality issues, including those attributed to other functions, ensuring relevant non-conformance documentation is raised and communicated appropriately.Ensure all work is carried out in full compliance with company procedures, engineering requirements, and Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) standards.Liaise closely with colleagues, Area Leader, Supervisors and cross functional teams (e.g. Quality, Engineering, Planning) to support efficient production and issue resolution.Support continuous improvement activities within the trimming area, including improvements to quality, efficiency, standardisation and housekeeping (5S).Comply with all company Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) requirements.Read and understand all manufacturing instructions prior to commencing an operation, this includes
