Proportionate Care Project Occupational Therapist - Slough Borough Council - 38 per hourSlough Borough Council is currently recruiting a motivated Occupational Therapist to join their dynamic Proportionate Care Project. This is a hands-on role ideal for an OT passionate about maximising independence through smart, proportionate support. The role offers a full-time contract, manageable caseload, and flexible working options.This vacancy will be for an initial 3-6 months, with a strong chance of extension.Main Duties for the Occupational Therapist include:Carrying out specialist moving and handling risk assessmentsTrialling and recommending appropriate equipment to reduce care needsSupporting service users with proportionate care plans to promote independenceWorking within a supportive project team alongside senior cliniciansSafeguarding vulnerable adults and ensuring dignity and respect throughout practiceTo Be Successful:Experience as a community-based Occupational TherapistConfident in manual handling techniques and equipment provisionUnderstanding of proportionate care principlesHCPC RegistrationEnhanced DBS (can be arranged by us)Eligibility to work in the UKRecognised Occupational Therapy degree or equivalentBenefits of Working at Slough Borough Council:Slough offers a collaborative, forward-thinking OT environment with a focus on innovation and measurable impact.
