TeamJobs are currently seeking experienced skilled workers to join on a swing shift basis for our client''s Yeovil site. This position involves the manual turning of aerospace components in accordance with manufacturing instructions, engineering specifications, and customer/regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will work within an empowered team environment to meet production and delivery targets and will report directly to the Team Lead.Location: Yeovil, Somerset Shift Pattern: One week day shift, one week late shift on rotationKey Responsibilities:Perform centre lathe turning operations, manufacturing parts from start to finish to aerospace specificationsSet up and operate bespoke work on 2-axis lathesCarry out Operator Control of Quality (OCQ), including stamping to confirm compliance with internal and customer quality standardsEnsure on-time delivery by completing work to the required quality standardsInterpret engineering drawings and follow documented processes and layout proceduresOperate effectively within a lean manufacturing environmentQualifications and Experience:Engineering Apprenticeship (desirable but not essential)Proven experience in manual turning or related machining disciplinesCompetence in using hand measuring equipment (e.g., verniers, micrometers, thread and plug gauges)Strong awareness and adherence to health and safety practicesExperience working to structured processes and proceduresFamiliarity with working in a customer-focused environme
