ASAP – 26th June 2025Job Overview:We are seeking an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic Trauma and Orthopaedic (TandO) Therapy and multi-disciplinary teams at Royal Derby Hospital (RDH). In this vital role, you will work flexibly across trauma and elective wards, providing high-quality, patient-centered care.As a Senior OT, you will conduct advanced Occupational Therapy assessments and treatment for inpatients recovering from trauma or elective procedures. You will also play a key role in discharge planning to support timely and efficient patient discharges.Key Responsibilities:Provide advanced Occupational Therapy assessments and treatment to inpatients post-trauma and elective procedures.Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, including doctors, nurses, and physiotherapists, to provide holistic care.Provide expertise in discharge planning to ensure smooth and timely patient transitions.Manage a varied caseload, delivering therapy to patients with diverse needs.Deliver therapy in a fast-paced, acute inpatient setting.Monitor patient progress and provide appropriate interventions to support recovery and rehabilitation.Required Experience:Recent experience working in an acute inpatient Trauma and Orthopaedic setting.Proven experience in discharge planning and managing a caseload of patients requiring complex discharge solutions.Ability to provide advanced clinical assessments and tailored treatment plans.Experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of specialized therapy techniques for trauma and orthopaedic patients.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously.Benefits of working for ENS:Excellent rates of payWeekly payrollHoliday payInclusion to staff pensionRecommend a friend schemeDedicated consultant 365 days per yearBack-office supportPAYE and Umbrella pay options.Rapid payFor further information contact Brooke on 01244 633150Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
