Design Manager - Residential Development (East London)

We are working with a well-established developer to recruit a Design Manager for a major regeneration scheme in East London. This is an opportunity to join at the early stages of a significant project, working within an experienced and well-structured team.

The development includes high-rise residential buildings and is currently moving into the delivery phase, with construction due to commence imminently.

The Role

You will support the technical team in coordinating design information and ensuring all drawings and specifications are aligned with programme and delivery requirements. Working closely with a senior technical lead, you will gain exposure to complex high-rise construction and detailed design coordination.

Key responsibilities include:

• Coordinating architectural and engineering design information
• Reviewing and tracking drawings to ensure timely issue for construction
• Liaising with consultants and subcontractors to resolve design queries
• Supporting the management of design changes and technical issues
• Assisting with ensuring compliance with building regulations and project standards
• Working closely with the wider project and site teams to support delivery

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years'' experience in a Technical Coordinator, Design Coordinator or similar role
• Experience working on residential developments, ideally including high-rise schemes
• Good understanding of design coordination and construction processes
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams
• Effective communication skills and a proactive approach
