As Senior Bookkeeper, you will be part of a small business services team providing outsourced bookkeeping services to a portfolio of clients. With an emphasis on a high level or service delivery and professionalism, this opportunity provides great variety both in terms of the clients and businesses that you will be supporting and the variety of work, ranging from bookkeeping and transactional accounting through to management accounting if desired.

Role Overview:

• Manage bookkeeping for a varied portfolio of clients
• Prepare and submit VAT returns
• Handle CIS returns and related processes
• Support day-to-day financial transactions
• Assist clients with accounting software and queries
• Provide support to payroll when needed.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous bookkeeping, VAT, CIS or transactional finance experience
• Experience with software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, IRIS or FreeAgent
• Confident communicator who enjoys working with clients
• Organised and efficient with the ability to prioritise workload
• Payroll is advantageous but not essential
• As is experience in an accountancy firm but again, this is not essential as applicants with bookkeeping experience from any industry sector will be considered.
