They''re now looking for a talented Mechanical Design Engineer (Building Services) to join their growing team.
The role
You''ll be responsible for the mechanical building services design of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across a wide variety of commercial and residential projects.
What you''ll be doing:
- Preparing design and calculations in line with CIBSE, BSRIA, BRE and other industry standards
- Producing specifications, reports, design drawings, and budget costs in accordance with design programmes
- (Ideally) undertaking thermal modelling using IES-ve or similar software
- Monitoring building services installations on site, reporting on workmanship, and witnessing testing
- Managing and supervising projects alongside your Director/Group Leader, ensuring delivery to the highest technical standards
Key responsibilities:
- Develop design concepts through to detailed design, tender, contract, and site supervision stages
- Establish client briefs, technical requirements, scopes of work, cost plans, and deliverables
- Liaise with multidisciplinary teams to produce coordinated, technically compliant designs
- Maintain excellent client relationships to ensure repeat business and high satisfaction levels
- Monitor project progress, design variations, and financial budgets
