Duties

• Perform MIG welding and other welding techniques on various materials, primarily sheet metal components.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised fabrication equipment to assemble metal parts accurately.
• Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure precise fabrication and assembly.
• Operate and maintain welding equipment, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
• Conduct basic measurements and calculations using fundamental maths skills to verify dimensions.
• Assist with the preparation of materials, including cutting, grinding, and fitting components.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Experience

• Proven experience in MIG welding and fabricating.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and general fabrication techniques.
• Knowledge of sheet metal working processes and assembly procedures.
• Mechanical knowledge related to machinery operation and maintenance is desirable.
• Ability to read technical drawings or blueprints is preferred.
• Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality checks are essential.
• Previous experience working with welding equipment, sheet metal fabrication, or mechanical assembly is essential.
