Rail renewals to enhancements, bridge building, highways, ports and emergency earthworks – our award-winning team has extensive experience and has been involved in projects that have changed the face of transport networks in three countries.We dedicate ourselves to being ‘better engineered’ to ensure our transportation infrastructure solutions meet and exceed customer requirements, delivering value for money through innovation.A day in the life of a Murphy Senior Quantity SurveyorEncourage and develop a culture of commercial awareness within the teamEnsure the site team adheres to group procedures and governanceComposing of internal commercial reporting and any other reports which may be requiredDevising of Valuations/Applications for Payment with full supporting documentation in accordance with the contractConstruction of Cost Reports to the Client with contractually compliant supporting documentationAdministration of subcontractor/supplier accounts from the preparation of detailed requisitions, monitoring and authorisation of subcontract payments through to agreement of final accountsPreperation and management of subcontract and material procurement schedulesUndertake the contract administration, including change management and maintain associated registersIdentifying commercial risks, opportunities, value engineering and changeUse the cost allocation/coding which satisfies both internal and external requirementsMeasurement of quantities in accordance with the standard methods of measurement as requiredPositive engagement with Client equivalent position and development, motivation and performance management of junior staff
