HandH is offering a unique opportunity for a Mid-Level Structural Engineer to join our Emerging Markets team in our London Bridge area office. You will contribute to the design and analysis of movable bridges, heavy civil structural and fixed bridge and apply knowledge to structural analysis, 3D modeling and design calculations supporting both construction and rehabilitation projects.With over 138 years of experience, HandH is a trusted full-service infrastructure engineering firm. Perform structural design calculations for steel and reinforced concrete structuresAssist in the inspection and assessment of bridges and other structuresPrepare detailed plans and construction documents for assigned tasksConduct quality calculations (quantity take-offs) for construction documentsAssist in writing technical reports for design specificationsCoordinate, track and assist in the review of contractor submittalsSupport project managers by researching design options and documenting findingsAssist in the design of heavy movable structures such as movable bridges, travelers and roofs utilizing AutoCAD/Microstation and 3D Modeling softwareSupport Structural Department with basic, general design calculations in addition to general support for the design and construction staffField work accompanying other engineers to inspect structuresTechnical Skills and Knowledge

Strong understanding of structural mechanics, material behavior and design codesProficiency in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, LUCAS, MIDAS to evaluate bridge and structural componentsDevelop 3D models and technical drawings using AutoCAD, Revit or TeklaKnowledge of Eurocodes, British Standards and other relevant design codesAbility to perform hand calculations and computer-based structural analysisExperience working with steel and reinforced concrete structures is desirableKey Competencies

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detailAbility to interpret technical drawings and specificationsExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenProficiency in MS office, including Excel for data analysis and reportingStrong organizational and time management skillsQualifications
