A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Debt Recovery Solicitor has arisen to join my client’s team in their Sheffield offices on a hybrid basis.Responsibilities

Personal Management of a Defended caseload via a case management systemReview High Value or Complex pre-legal debts to assess suitability for legal actionPursue defended claims through small claims, fast track and multi-track by drafting pleadings, witness statements and producing court bundlesAdvise and liaise with clients on legal matters, prospects for successful recovery and assist with overcoming disputes and reasons for non-paymentWork with courts, enforcement agencies and other suppliers to ensure high standards of service are maintained at all timesInsolvency Action - Bankruptcy/Winding Up PetitionsReturn of Goods ClaimsSuch other duties as may be requiredRequirements

A law degree (or equivalent legal qualifications) and have previous practical experience of legal collection, and be either a Solicitor or Chartered Legal ExecutivePrevious experience in running a Defended caseload on the Small Claims Track is preferredGood IT skills – able to adapt and use new systemsProblem solving skills - able to look for solutions and agree these with customersConfidence in making and receiving telephone callsClear communication capabilities – both written and verbalThe ability to work to targets – earning more based on successConfidence to deal with a variety of people in different situationsBenefits
