With direct influence on reputational risk, cost mitigation, and legal exposure, this is a role for a professional with credibility and gravitas.You will:Lead complex case investigations, disciplinary appeals, whistleblowing matters, and executive complaints.Represent the organisation in Early Conciliation and Employment Tribunal proceedings, with settlement authority at judicial mediation stages.Engage with senior stakeholders including HR Directors, Group Legal, union representatives, and executive leadership.Identify trends and proactively support cultural and behavioural improvements.Improve line manager capability through identification of development needs and provision of feedback on an individual basis and sharing learning from cases overall with stakeholders.Operate with autonomy while embedded within a highly collaborative and high-performing national team.Support with project work as required, including supporting change consultations and organisational design implementation.The IndividualThe successful candidate will be a seasoned ER practitioner with:In-depth knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.A proven track record in managing sensitive, complex, and high-stakes ER matters.Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, including the ability to operate at executive level and with union representatives.Effective analysis, judgement and decision-making skills.Ideally CIPD Level 5 or a formal legal/employment law qualification.
