Job role: Maintenance Engineer Mechanical Bias Salary: £40,000-£42,000 per annum Location: Corby, Northamptonshire Hours: 2/2/3 panama days/night Weekly Rotations (6:00-18:00 / 18:00-6:00) Job Type: Full Time, Permanent The Package: Overtime available 1.33x 28 days including bank holidays Pension subject to auto-enrolment - Employee contribution 5% (minimum) and Employer contributes 3% Medical scheme EAP schemeThe Role: Minimise production downtime, by carrying out routine scheduled maintenance (PPMs) and respond to unplanned breakdowns with the stipulated timeframes. Ensure that production operations maximise output and minimise downtime safely through regular planned maintenance. Respond to unplanned breakdowns in a timely and effective manner, working alongside engineering and production colleagues to minimise disruption. Optimise the performance and lifecycle of operational equipment with regular preventative maintenance, working with the Production team, to identify and understand causes of equipment wear and underperformance. Diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns Carry out all work according to Safe Systems of Work, Risk Assessments, SOPs, Dynamic Risk Assessments and company policies and procedures. The Requirements: In depth understanding of fault finding/diagnostics on manufacturing machinery Electrical and Mechanical Competencies Relevant Electrical/Mechanical Qualifications (City and Guilds/NVQs) - Advantageous Experience of working in a fast paced production
