Tradewind Recruitment is working with a forward-thinking secondary school in Finchley, Barnet that is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025. This is a full-time, long-term position - perfect for someone who wants to build experience in a supportive school setting.

As a Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support the Maths department in delivering high-quality lessons.

• Work with students across Key Stages 3 and 4, providing one-to-one and small group support.

• Assist with lesson preparation, resource development, and targeted interventions.

• Help boost pupil confidence and understanding in core maths concepts.

• Support students with varying abilities, including those with special educational needs.

• Be a positive role model who inspires a love of learning.

• A recent Mathematics or Maths-related degree (e.g. Engineering, Physics, Economics).

• A strong academic background, including a minimum grade C/4 in English and Maths GCSE.

• Excellent subject knowledge and a genuine interest in helping young people succeed in maths.

• Great communication and interpersonal skills.

• Experience working with young people (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, coaching, volunteering) is desirable but not essential.

• A proactive, patient, and resilient mindset.

• A supportive school in Barnet with a welcoming and experienced Maths department.

• Full-time, long-term position starting September 2025.
