The successful candidate should be able to explain complex technical options to an executive audience, identifying key risks and issues.ResponsibilitiesStrategic Planning:Develop and drive the overall systems (and network systems) architecture and design strategy aligned with the organization''s business objectives.Collaborate with executive leadership and peers within the business to understand needs and provide strategic technology recommendations.Team Leadership:Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of systems architects and designers.Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture, promoting continuous learning and professional development.Work cross-functionally with other teams, leading cross-functional collaboration.Scale the team appropriately to meet business transformation demands.Systems Design and Development:Lead the design and development of scalable, robust systems architecture that meets current and future business needs.Ensure designs incorporate security, scalability, operational support, and maintainability.Drive architecture decisions and document systems architecture to meet project timelines.Technology Evaluation and Adoption:Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, assessing their impact.Recommend new technologies to enhance system capabilities.Collaboration with Stakeholders:Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system integration.Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.Quality Assurance:Establish and enforce best practices for architecture and design.Implement QA processes to ensure solutions meet reliability and performance standards.Risk Management:Identify and mitigate risks related to architecture and design.Develop contingency plans for business continuity.Budget Management:Work with finance to manage budgets for architecture initiatives.Ensure cost-effective technology investments.Documentation and Reporting:Maintain documentation for architecture decisions.Report progress to executive leadership regularly.About you:You will have a Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. You should have experience in telco and proven experience in a senior architecture role. Strong leadership, team management, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.
