About the Role
We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our friendly and inclusive school. This is a vital role supporting students with a range of learning, emotional, and behavioural needs - both inside and outside of the classroom.
Whether you''re supporting students 1:1, in small groups, or working closely with a teacher in a busy classroom, your impact will be significant every single day.
Key Responsibilities
Support students with their learning in lessons across the curriculum
Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils who need additional help
Assist with classroom management and contribute to a calm, productive learning environment
Help students develop confidence, independence, and resilience
Use a range of strategies to support pupils with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities)
Track and record pupil progress and share feedback with teachers and SENCO
Adapt learning materials under teacher direction to suit individual needs
Supervise pupils during breaks, lunch, or school activities when required
You Will Need
A genuine passion for working with children or young people
Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
The ability to work well as part of a team and take initiative when needed
A proactive, flexible, and positive attitude to supporting learning
An understanding of safeguarding responsibilities
(Desirable) Experience working with pupils with SEN, behavioural challenges, or learning difficulties
(Desirable) A recognised TA or LSA qualification or a degree in education, psychology, or a related field
