Now, they’re looking for a like-minded Audit Director (RI) to help drive their ambitious growth plans while upholding the firm’s strong ethical values.The OpportunityAs Audit Director and Responsible Individual (RI), you’ll play a key strategic role in shaping the firm’s audit offering. Reporting directly to the National Head of Audit and working alongside the shareholder team, you''ll lead high-quality audit engagements, mentor a growing team, and take the lead on exciting new business opportunities.This is a hands-on, high-impact role with real influence and visibility within the firm. Act as the lead RI on audits, ensuring full compliance with UK auditing standards and ethical regulationsOversee planning, execution, and completion of audit engagements, primarily across the firm’s North regionBuild and maintain strong client relationships as a trusted advisorReview and approve audit files and documentation, providing feedback and upskilling to team membersMentor and develop audit seniors and trainees, offering coaching, training, and career developmentSupport workflow management and team leadership, including resourcing and quality controlDrive audit quality and continuous improvement across methodology and processesContribute to wider firm strategy through business development, tender presentations, and cross-functional collaborationIdentify opportunities to introduce clients to other service lines (e.g., Tax, Wealth, Corporate Finance)Promote the firm’s brand and values through networking, speaking opportunities, and thought leadershipAbout You
ACA or ACCA qualified with significant post-qualification experience in practiceRegistered Responsible Individual (RI) with the FRCStrong track record at Director or Senior Manager level within a UK audit firmDeep technical knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS 102, and ideally IFRS/SORPCommercially savvy with proven business development and client relationship skillsPassionate about developing people and fostering an inclusive, supportive team cultureWhat’s in It for You
