SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant requiredAcademics are seeking a dedicated and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to work across local primary schools based in Stoke-on-Trent and the surrounding areas and provide 1:1 support for pupils in a primary school setting who display challenging behaviour and additional learning needs.This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and who can remain calm, consistent, and positive when supporting pupils who may struggle with emotional regulation, engagement, or social skills.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide 1:1 support for pupils with SEN and behavioural needsImplement behaviour management strategies and positive reinforcementSupport emotional regulation, social skills, and engagement in learningWork closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionalsRecord progress, incidents, and outcomes to support pupil developmentCreate a safe, structured, and supportive learning environmentThe Ideal Candidate Will HaveExperience working with children with SEN, SEMH, ASD, ADHD, or behavioural needsStrong behaviour management and de-escalation skillsA calm, patient, and resilient approachThe ability to build positive relationships with pupils who may struggle with trust or boundariesA genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable learnersIf you hold the relevant skills and feel you can effectively support pupils on a long term basis, then this could be the perfect role for you - Contact the loca
