Business Development Assistant Manager

(A) Business News SourcingSource and keep track on incoming business opportunities that are suitable and aligned with business objectives.Regular engagement with Client and Consultants for potential business opportunities, realising it from ‘News’ to ‘Tender’ to ‘Award’.Identify potential business opportunities from market research and analysis.(B) Business Department DutiesCarry out day-to-day Business Department duties such as:Prepare board papers for Headquarters (HQ) approval and updateCheck and report weekly business news (internal and to HQ)Carry out research and market analysis for business opportunities, competitors and other market trends – discuss and report regularly to GM and ManagementGuide business executives on business department duties including checking and managing timeline of the said worksAnd any other relevant duties assigned by General Manager (GM) of the Business Department.2. Manage and regularly discuss timeline of all tasks with GM and ensure timely deliverables.(C) Tender Support and CoordinationProvide support during tender stage such as:Facilitate and coordinate with other departments on tender submittalsCheck, compile and ensure an adequate overall tender submissionOrganise and facilitate Risk Assessment and Value Engineering sessionsManage and keep track of all tasks to follow up with each tender, ensuring timely executionCoordinate and facilitate discussions with Consultants for DandB tenders2. Prepare and deliver tender presentations during tender interview as well as corporate presentations whennecessary.(D) Others:Plan for overall business events with GM throughout the financial year.Manage timeline for each business events with business executives and ensure timely follow up on tasks until execution of event.Plan for marketing initiatives for the company with GM throughout the financial year and follow up with execution of these initiatives with business executives.(E) Skillsets:Excellent communication skillsGood writing skills for marketing materials such as newsletters etc.Good speaking skills for presentationsLeadership – experience in mentoring individuals / leading a team, experience in coordination with other team / other companies for successful execution of tasks(F) Working ExperienceMinimum 8 years of experience in the built environment including (preferably) 4 years of experience in a Consultancy firmPreferred - experience as a QS consultant
