An established and forward-thinking smart home integration company is seeking an experienced 2nd Fix Engineer to join their growing team. Specialising in high-end residential installations, the client delivers bespoke home automation systems using industry-leading technologies such as Control4, Lutron, and Crestron Home.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled engineer who takes pride in attention to detail, clean installations, and seamless system performance.

About the Role

You''ll take ownership of 2nd fix installations on high-spec residential projects across London and surrounding areas. From precise rack building and lighting panel wiring to integrating touchscreens and commissioning control systems, your work will be vital in delivering polished, high-performance smart home environments.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out 2nd fix installation of smart home systems, including rack building, lighting panel wiring, and touchscreen/control system connections

Install and commission platforms such as Control4, Lutron, and Crestron Home

Collaborate with project managers and design teams to follow system layouts and technical drawings

Test, troubleshoot, and fine-tune systems to ensure full functionality and high client satisfaction

Maintain detailed documentation, including wiring schematics, installation notes, and handover materials

Deliver work to high standards of workmanship, cleanliness, and professionalism on site

What We''re Looking For

5+ years'' experience in the smart home or AV installation sector

Proven expertise in 2nd fix installations, rack building, lighting control, and touchscreen integration

Hands-on experience working with Control4, Lutron, and Crestron Home systems

Strong ability to read and interpret technical schematics and blueprints

Logical troubleshooting skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving

Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently or within a team

Professional, customer-focused, and health & safety aware
