Here, you won’t be a small cog in a big wheel, you’ll have the freedom to make decisions, the backing of a forward thinking Commercial Manager, and the chance to put your own stamp on exciting, varied projects.In this role, you’ll take the lead on cost planning, tendering, and valuations, while managing budgets and delivering clear, accurate cost reports. You’ll regularly visit sites to monitor progress, ensuring everything stays on track, and build strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders. A key part of your work will involve driving value engineering and risk management initiatives, as well as ensuring full compliance with contracts and legislation, supported by meticulous record-keeping throughout each project.The successful candidate will hold a degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent) and bring at least five years of UK-based QS experience, ideally gained on residential or mixed-use projects. You’ll have solid knowledge of NEC, JCT, and other contract forms, combined with strong analytical, numerical, and negotiation skills. As a confident communicator with a proactive, problem solving mindset, you’ll be able to build effective relationships and add real value to projects. A full UK driving licence is also essential for this role.
