Overview

The New Business Acquisition consultant will be focused on combining technical, communications and analytical skills to create thought provoking and compelling managed service solutions for new business opportunities. The Senior Solutions Consultant is an integral part of the Sales team. The consultant provides technical leadership and support throughout the sales process both customer-facing and internally with GTT''s delivery, operations, engineering, and support organisations. Solutions Consultants provide support to Account Representatives, Account Managers, Account Directors, and / or Channel Managers.Responsibilities

Meets with customers and prospects, face-to-face or remotely as requiredExpertly describes and demonstrates GTT''s products, services, and capabilities and how they meet customers business strategiesDiscovers and identifies customer needs and requirements by leading interactive sessions with customersCollaboratively designs product and / or services solutions satisfying customer needs and requirementsCreates technical documentation of solution designs, including detailed diagrams capturing solution elements, topology, and key parametersWorks with other sales support roles to ensure solutions are quoted and ordered correctly and accuratelyAuthors technical responses to RFIs / RFPsProvides training and technical support to Sales associatesConveys key marketplace learnings to Product ManagementServes as GTT''s evangelist to the marketplace (e.g., through speaking engagements at industry events, authoring white papers and blogs, etc.)Maintains industry and product-specific knowledge through self-learning, vendor certifications, and internal collaborations with Product Management and EngineeringStrong technical understanding of data networking architectures, standards, protocols, and equipmentWide area underlay including SD-WAN, MPLS, Ethernet and Internet-based VPNPublic Internet, autonomous systems, IP transit, and peeringIP LANs, including Ethernet switching, VLANs, subnetting, and Layer 3 switchingRouting protocol- types and their applicationsSecurity concepts including SSE and SASE frameworks as well as functions such as NAT, IDS / IPS, application layer proxies, and content filteringExperience specifying commonly used networking edge equipment including SD-WAN vendors such as HPE Aruba, Fortinet, VMWare (Velocloud) as well as Cisco / Juniper switches and routersGeneral understanding of modern hybrid IT architectures, private / public cloud computing and storage, server, and network function virtualisation, SDN, IaaS, PaaS, and SaaSKnowledge of voice services, VoIP, phone systems, voice termination (analog, SIP) and call flow designExcellent written and verbal communications skillsComfortable presenting to small and large groupsExceptional analytical skills and attention to detailSkilled at working across numerous activities, with effective prioritisation and deadline adherenceMust be able to thrive in a constantly changing environmentWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including VisioDesirable Experience / Qualifications

A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Telecommunications and / or ITA minimum of 5 years of experience in Sales / Solutions ConsultingTypically requires a Bachelor''s degree in related field or equivalent experience or training.Fortinet (NSE), Palo Alto (PSE), HPE (ECSxxx), Cisco (CCNA etc), MS (MCxx), certifications are a plusCore Competencies

Ability to drive cultural changes from best effort to results oriented.Customer First (Customer Facing) : Knowledge of internal customer interactions, creating a culture of accountability, collaboration, and partnership. Ability to build an environment supporting internal customer value creation at every level.Operational Excellence : Understanding the system-driven processes for consistency and scalability.
