About The Role
The Supergen Energy Networks Hub (SEN) is a £9m research project funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC). The hub brings together collaborative teams from Industry, Academia, Government and Civil Society to carry out highly impactful, interdisciplinary research, to enable energy networks to become a driving force towards a rapid, safe and just transition to net zero.The Research Impact and Engagement Officer will work with the Research Projects and Programmes Manager to deliver impact and engagement activities for the EPSRC funded Supergen Energy Networks Impact Hub. The post holder will advise and work alongside the Principal Investigators (PIs) that include the University’s Vice-Chancellor, and other academic and professional service colleagues. SEN has a networks community of more than 750 individuals, which currently includes 36 active Academics and Researchers based across 7 Universities throughout the UK. A key aspect of this post is to liaise with over 50 Industry, Government and Policy partners, all at CEO and Director levels.
Duties
Support and advise on development and implementation of impact and engagement strategy
Identify additional funding opportunities
Disseminate research and deliver impact activities
Actively engage in forward planning ensuring alignment with the vision and ambition of the project
Support the research, and delivery of the project s key achievements
Coordinate with stakeholders, and wider team ensuring coordination of all aspects of the project
