We are committed to delivering outstanding outcomes for our learners.What the Risk and Compliance Business Partner overview.Act as a strategic partner to business units, including Novus prison education, helping to embed risk, compliance, health, safety and environmental practices into daily operations. The role ensures the organisation meets legal and ethical standards while encouraging a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.Role ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Risk and Compliance Director, the role leads and improves risk management, health, safety and environment practices across the business. The role supports business units, including Novus prison education, in following laws and policies, conducting audits and inspections, supporting training, and providing expert advice. It includes preparing reports, investigating incidents, and promoting a safe, responsible culture. Regular travel to Novus sites across England and Wales is required, along with close collaboration with recognised trade unions.Benefits26 days paid annual leave plus 8 bank holidays.Retail discountsEmployee Assistance ProgramCycle to work scheme.Significant pension contributionSkills, Qualifications and ExperienceTo be successful in this role, you will need to:Degree/Diploma in Risk Management, Law, Business, Health and Safety, or related field would be an advantage.Relevant professional certification (e.g., IRM, CCEP, IOSH) would be an advantage.Experience in risk management, compliance, or health, safety and environmentProven track record of implementing Health, Safety and Environmental and Risk and Compliance SystemsExperience of ISO Standards (45001/14001/31000) implementationAn understanding of Occupational Health ProgramsExperience in education or public sector environments would be an advantage.Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.Project management skills an advantageCapable of drafting policies, reports, and training materials.SafeguardingThe LTE Group is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
