Primary Teacher

Core Education are proud to be working with a privately funded SEND school, based in the Huddersfield area. They are recruiting for a passionate education professional and are looking for a Primary Teacher to start in September 2025.
The school offers a safe and supportive environment for young people aged between 5 and 18 with Autism and/or social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH). There young people may have several diagnoses including ASD, ADHD, FASD, anxiety and/or, communication and interaction, cognition, and learning needs.
Classes are small (no more than 8 children in each class, with Teaching Assistant support) an exciting role for a passionate Primary teacher.
The school are looking for a Primary Teacher who has previously worked with children who have additional learning needs.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teaching Status (QTS)
- Primary Teacher
- Experience teaching SEN/ SEMH
- Experience teaching English or Science
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding procedures
- The right to work in the UK
- An enhanced child DBS on the update service (or willingness to have one processed)
- Two professional references covering the last 2 years
- The ability to teach English or Science (preferred but not necessary)
