Signalling Principles Design Engineer

Job Description Role To effectively produce and deliver safety-related signalling design deliverables: Understanding Client Requirements : Review and analyse the specific requirements outlined by the client, ensuring clarity on expectations and deliverables, and ensure alignment with relevant railway standards; Knowledge of Railway Standards : Knowledge of relevant railway standards (e.g., Network Rail Company Standards, RSSB Standards, BS, EN standards) to ensure compliance with safety and technical regulations; Delivery Strategies : Develop comprehensive delivery strategies outlining phases, milestones and responsibilities. To identify resources and key stakeholders; Hazard Identification and Risk Analysis : Assist key project members with hazard identification workshops, perform risk assessments using industry standards and methodologies and ensuring to document and prioritise the risk identified; Subcontract Specifications : Assist the Signalling Design CRE with drafting and gathering information for subcontractor specifications, by assisting to develop scopes, determining deliverables measuring performance metrics; Tendering and Estimates : Assist the Signalling Design Management team with tendering documentation, including scope of works and cost estimates based on project requirements and industry benchmarks for all new opportunities; Technical Constraints : Ability to identify technical constraints that may affect the design, i.e. existing infrastructure, safet
