Senior Vice President of Sales - Insurance vertical
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven professional to lead the insurance vertical within the IT Services domain. This role focuses on both strategic new client acquisition (targeting $50M+ TCV annually) and growth and retention of the existing client portfolio. The ideal candidate will have deep domain knowledge of the insurance industry, a strong network of C-level relationships, and a proven track record in enterprise sales and account management within IT/Technology services.Key Responsibilities:1. New Client Acquisition (Hunting):Drive
new business development
in the Insurance vertical across PandC, Life, Reinsurance, and Specialty Insurance.Achieve
$50 million+ in TCV annually
through multi-year, high-value IT services contracts.Identify, engage, and convert
target accounts
using a consultative sales approach.Lead the
end-to-end sales cycle , including qualification, solutioning, proposal development, commercial negotiation, and closure.Collaborate with marketing, pre-sales, and delivery teams to create tailored solutions.Own and grow a portfolio of strategic insurance clients.Develop and execute
account plans , drive
cross-sell/up-sell
opportunities, and ensure client satisfaction and retention.Act as a
strategic advisor
to CXOs, helping clients achieve business transformation through technology.Work closely with delivery and operations to ensure
contract compliance, SLAs, and governance .Provide
thought leadership
on industry trends, digital transformation in insurance, and emerging technologies (AI/ML, Cloud, Automation, etc.).Represent the company at industry forums, panels, and client events.Mentor and guide junior sales and account managers in the Insurance vertical.Key Requirements:20+ years
of experience in enterprise IT services sales and account management, specifically in the
insurance domain .Strong network of
CXO-level contacts
in Tier-1 and Tier-2 insurance firms (global and regional).Proven track record of achieving or exceeding
$50M+ TCV
in annual new sales.Deep understanding of Insurance industry challenges, operating models, and regulatory landscape.Strong commercial acumen with experience in
RFP responses, contract negotiation, pricing strategy , and solution selling.Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.Seniority level
